Aura Ra is a musical duo founded by Grigory and Nadezhda Mashtalir — a married couple of 20 years.
For the majority of that time, they have dedicated themselves to spiritual practices, sound healing, and meditative arts. Their path includes deep work with healing instruments such as the gong, immersive retreats across Asia, and profound exploration of mantra and silence.
Aura Ra fuses sacred Eastern mantras with analog textures and modern electronic soundscapes — creating a timeless and healing musical space where spirituality meets cinematic expression, and East meets West.
The project originated in Thailand where the couple had been studying spiritual practices for many years. After a deep transformation and a new awareness of life and creativity, the meditative performance Aura Ra was created.
